These are a few of my favorite things...

Spring...possibly my favorite time of year. Some of it is because of the perfect spring weather. Some of it is because of spring break. Some of it is because of spring training. At this time every year, over 10 major league baseball teams ascend upon the valley to kick-off the new baseball season. Awesome. It's the perfect time for every baseball fan. Cheap tickets, choice of teams, and the ability to get closer to the players than at any time during the year...unless you happen to run into one at circle k. For me, this season hits a little closer to home. Last year I was the Intern Athletic Trainer for the Milwaukee Brewers during spring training, an opportunity that very few people get. You have to know someone to get into an organization. So last year I got to meet the players and work with them daily. This was one of the best things I've ever gotten to be a part of. This is what I want to do for my career. It is the perfect career for me. So when all of this action comes to Phoenix, I feel like my future is right here, within my reach. For me, working in major league baseball is one of those jobs that they really wouldn't have to pay me to do, because I love it so much. It doesn't feel like work. It's just so energizing to me. So now you know why I'm in such a good mood around february and march. I'm closer than ever to what I want to do for the rest of my life. Now it's just a couple of years away.
