Define Important

As I was sitting here at the computer, I heard comments on TV that just couldn't be ignored. At the end of the EXTRA TV show they asked people what they thought of McCain cancelling his appearance on David Letterman. Several of the idiots walking around the street that day said that McCain was cracking under the pressure, he couldn't handle the "hard hitting" questions that Letterman would ask, and my personal favorite - one woman actually said, "How do we know he won't walk away from important stuff if he was to become president?" Wait...did she just imply that a David Letterman appearance was important? Did she just imply that it was more important than doing his job in Washington, which is why he's cancelling his Letterman appearance? Yes, yes she did. How ignorant are people now-a-days? The funny thing is that she was contradicting herself because McCain was in fact doing his job instead of ditching it for an interview - exactly what she wants her president to do, but I bet she won't vote for him. How dare he ditch David Letterman.
